Adding other DOS Drivers to the Recovery Disk
The SnapBack Recovery Disk comes pre-made with the DOS Drivers for Adaptec SCSI Cards. If your SCSI card is
not an Adaptec then you will need to manually add the driver to the Recovery Disk.
1. Locate the DOS driver for the SCSI card your Tape Drive is connected to. For this example, we will call it
driver.sys
2. After creating the Recovery Disk close the SnapBack Client and go to My Computer then 3.5" Floppy Drive
3. Double click on the Drivers folder. Copy driver.sys to this folder.
4. Go back and double click on config.sys - Windows will prompt you saying that it is a System File. Click Open
With.
5. In the list that appears, locate Notepad, highlight it and click OK
6. You will see a file that looks similar to this:
7. Add a new line at the bottom that reads: device=\drivers\driver.sys (if driver.sys is the correct name of your driver).
8. Click File then Save.
