Deleting Volumes/Virtual Disks Enhancement

Beginning with version 6.7, and to improve usability, the Graphical User Interface

(GUI)/Browser User Interface (BUI) will retain a virtual disk when deleting the last

volume on that virtual disk. It will remind the user to delete the virtual disk

manually if they want to remove it.

To maintain compatibility with user scripts, the CLI behavior was not changed. The

CLI will automatically delete a virtual disk when its last volume is deleted.

The CLI has been enhanced to provide a new “-k” option to retain (keep) a virtual

disk when its last volume is deleted. The command syntax is: sscs delete -a <array>

-k volume <volname>.
