Driver Installation Guide Format
This guide is laid out in four sections: Reinstalling Drivers for Windows XP,
New Driver Installation for Windows XP, Updating Drivers for Windows XP,
and Verifying Driver Installation for Windows XP.
Reinstalling Drivers for Windows XP: Use these instructions if you already
have an Adaptec USB 2.0 card installed in your system, but have not yet
installed the Adaptec USB 2.0 driver. These instructions are primarily for those
users who purchased their Adaptec USB 2.0 card prior to the release of the
Adaptec USB 2.0 driver and have been using it as an USB 1.1 card.
New Driver Installation for Windows XP: Use these instructions if you have
just installed an Adaptec USB 2.0 card into your system. Remember that the first
time you start your system after installing a card, it may take longer due to the
fact that the operating system is locating and installing drivers for the card.
Updating Drivers for Windows XP: Use these instructions if you are already
using the Adaptec USB 2.0 card and driver and want to upgrade the driver to the
latest version.
Verifying Driver Installation for Windows XP: Use these instructions to verify
successful driver installation on your system.
